My 2016 Goals

I know that I’m a little bit late with this post. To be honest, I forgot about it, until this afternoon that I started looking through my journal. I thought that by posting my ‘goals’ I can inspire you to make some of your own, and share them with me.

I prefer to organize my goals in categories. I have fitness, lifestyle, knowledge and finance goals, because that’s some of the areas that are hard to work on, for me.

Fitness Goal:

To be honest I don’t have issues with the way my body is, but there are certain things that I would love to change this year:

1. Start the Gym. Oh my God, this is difficult. I have always struggled to get on the GYM and more importantly stay on in. This year I want to start it and get my body a better shape.

2. Run at a soccer practice at least one mile with-out stoping. In case you didn’t know I love soccer. Is one of my favorite sports, and I enjoy playing it. But I always had problems when it comes to run. This is a flexible goal, you can change my goal into a ‘run a marathon’ or ‘run three miles per week’ I don’t know. Running is good for our bodies, and it clears our mind.

3. I want to get my abs marked. This is a stupid goal, but is something I want to do. As I practice soccer my legs have developed muscles, but when it comes to my abs… well let’s not talk about it, shall we?

Lifestyle Goals:

This area is the one that I enjoy the most. Why? Because I love everything about lifestyle, reading about and putting it on practice:

1. Become more simple at things. I think that as humans we tend to overthink problems or stuff in general. That’s my major issue. I want to know for sure, that all people have problems and if we just think it through once we can find a easy solution for it.

2. Do my homework EVERY-DAY. Yeah, I’ll let the title explain itself.

3. Read the lesson before the actual class. This is a very important goal, for everyone. Is so important to read the lesson before the class in order to prepare your mind to understand the subject more easily. Boring? Yes, it is. But I rather read the lesson before that be filled with question the day of the class.

4. Get better hand writing. As a blogger-writer, having a good hand writing is essential for me. In order for you to understand my blogs, I need to understand my hand writing first, or that’s what I think.

Knowledge Goals:

1. Read at least 20 books. It may sound a little bit to much, but reading is something I enjoy and last year I read about 15 books (that was my goal tho) so this year I want to go a little bit further and read twenty books.

2. Pay attention to quotes and lessons of life. Have you ever wrote a quote on your journal or at the bottom of your new Instagram post and not really pay attention to it? Well I have, and I want to change that. Quotes and lessons have very beautiful meanings that can really help you if you just take a deep look on them:

See another motto you can live by. Be the person you want everyone to see.

Finance Goals.

1. Save money. Hey, look another ‘almost impossible’ goal, but is possible. Think like this. I like to spend my money on things that I know for sure that I’ll use. Being underage limits me to save from the money that my parents give me. So whenever I save a good amount I like to spend it on make-up brushes or make-up itself, because I’m starting to learn about it and I’m really intrigued about that subject.

5 Ways to Stay Organized

Have you ever been in a disorganized place and felt really ‘gross’? Yes? Well I’ve been there too. To be more realistic I was a super disorganized person. I used to wake-up leave my bed messy, my yesterday’s clothes on the floor, my make-up on my vanity, in betweem others. To be honest I “didn’t” have a problem with it… until I went back to school. That’s when the problems begun.

I couldn’t concentrate to do my homework, to read or to write because of my mess. My notes decreased and my parents got mad at me. I knew I needed to change.

In order to accomplish that I started seeing youtubers rooms, and got ALL of my inspiration from their videos ( another way you can get more organized ) After that I decided to stablish some rules in order to keep my neatness at my room:

1. Disorganize.

It may be the worst thing you can read if you want to be more organized, but believe is good to disorganize, but, BUT, be sure that when you’ll do that, you will organize right away.

Is simple, disorganize what you need to disorganize, and then organized what you disorganize. Tongue twister? I know.

2. Look at home decor during the day.

As I said on my introductory paragraph. I got all of my inspiration at youtube videos, that was when I was like 12 years old, but now that we have all this “technological” improvement, Instagram offers a variety of accounts that you can follow to get decoration ideas or tips.

If you don’t like to depend on your phone all the day, you can also try decoration magazines. There’s a whole collection of them, and you can even choose one. You can choose the one that goes more with your style, from modern to vintage. It all depends on you and your style.

3. Invest more in the area you hang in more.

When you invest, you will feel bad if you don’t give the things the proper use. For example, I bought a cup for my pens, and it cost me quite a lot of money, and then I’ll have it under a bunch of paper, I will go a head and clear that space so I can ‘show off’ the item.

It’s all about the showing off how organized you are.

If you live with your family invest more in your bedroom, because that’s the place we hang more.

If you leave by yourself, invest in a office, because one of the bad things of working on our bedroom, is the bed. When you have an office you will not feel so tempted to take a nap, which is a really bad idea.

4. Get good Illumination.

This is the key to stay organized. If you have your room near a window, then you should probably keep ot organized so when someone looks to your house or visits you, then you can show them that you are a very oranized person and illumination will only help you to clear you statement.

See the light really helps. 

5. Organize you stuff by categories.

This is a majot tip. I recomend to invest in organizers, plastic, wooden, ceramic, whatever you desire. Just make sure you use them.

This idea is for those that have lots of things and a lot of drawers. Organizers will keep your stuff in their place, and if you invest in really good ones then you will not only keep organized but you can show that you have really good support materials.

5 ways to get Inspiration.

There is no secret recipe for inspiration, because the only way we can have it, is working for it. So here are 5 advices that you can use to get inspiration easily:

1. Plan exciting things for the next day.

Simple, do things inside your comfort zone. Yeah, normally people will tell you to get out of it. I tell you, stay inside of it when it comes to inspiration.

Why? The answer is that when you do things that make you happy and you are used to (such as writing a to do list, or planning tomorrow’s outfit) you will set your mind to be prepared for something exciting the next day. Results, you will wake up with a positive mindset and ready to start your day.

2. Avoid naps.

A 3 hour “nap” during the day will get your body uncontrolled, more than relaxed. I can assure you that you’ll be tired for the rest of the day. Having a nap is a result for not sleeping enough the night before. To be honest is like a cicle, you take a nap during the day, you get uncontrolled, you have “energy” during night so you sleep late, you don’t rest, you wake up tired, and so it goes on.

Avoiding naps in my day have helped me to achieve my daily goals, but when you have a “free” day, well we can all make an exception.

3. Read inspiring things.

Reading is a great way to achieve inspiration. When you read you feel like you have to do what the quote, book, or blog post says (in my case)

I like to read positive books or posts so I can have more ideas to stay occupied during the next day.

4. Live by a Motto.

This may be a cliché but it’s true, and it works. When you wake-up and you read something that give you that force you need for the day, you feel more powerfull and stronger and that leads you to complete your goals.

My favorite Motto is actually a Verse from The Bible:

Is a constant reminder that beauty should be in our heart and it’s all that matters.

5. Surround yourself with positive people.

Last but not least, surround yourself with positive people.

I can go on and talk all day long how this is the most important advice I can give you right now. When you interact with people that show you their pure innerself, people that are always trying to make you a better person and people that support your descicions, you’ll find inspiration easily.

You’ll be able to express and don’t be ashamed, because these “people” are like you, and me. Souls that are trying to be a better person everyday.

So that’s it, these are ways that have worked for me.
